Eternity

Eyecandy for the ladies and guys~ pretty and handsome leads. I find myself being more engrossed in looking at the female lead's makeup XD

The story is based on a novel. The progression of the story is pretty alright, of how the two met and fell in love despite Yupadee being the wife of Sangmong's uncle. It also showed how two people in love can grow to get annoyed with each other when they are chained, literally, to each other.

However, the part where Sangmong kissed the corpse and pulled "her" over to face him, it scared me! I'm watching this at 2am and really got a shock even though that scene wasn't even that scary. I just wasn't prepared for that XD

There wasn't much climax or anything, not much of any twists too. Probably just showing how people fall in love and the things they would risk or sacrifice for.

I guess this story tells a message. I shall leave it to you to find it out for yourself :)

Django Unchained

Highly recommended by the boy, he was bugging me to watch this since weeks ago. XD And so, we decided to sit down to watch, but only half of it. I finished the rest back at home. :)

Not too bad a movie, though it is pretty violent with the shootings. Not that I mind it though haha. The shootings were fast and the director sure was generous with the bloody scenes.

Django broke out of slavery when this Dr. Schultz bought him. He appeared to be a smart guy, fast shooter and one who will risk everything for his wife who was captured. And good for him, he managed to take his revenge in the end.

It is expected that there would be controversy surrounding this film though, due to how "nigger" was used so freely.

Love, In Between (두 여자)

What happens when a married man has an affair with his student?

The female lead was like any other "crazy" woman after finding out her husband whom she married for 10 years is having an affair with his student. She stalked the student and become close to her...

Got to skip to talk about the ending. Ending was kind of heart-warming because *spoiler alert* she decided to save the student's life, while sacrificing the baby in her, when she was supposed to hate her.

Not that fantastic.. Expected more of a twist.

Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters

Caught "Hansel And Gretel" with the boy yesterday. I liked it! I usually won't appreciate lame shows, but this one was a good one. XD

Believe it when they say "classic tale, new twist". The plot wasn't too predictable Loved the action, gore and homour. I'm not sadistic but some parts of it made me want to laugh. The characters were great, loved Gemma Arterten. No wonder she attracted me the moment she appeared on screen, just like how I thought she was charming in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". :)

I just realized it's supposed to be a fantasy horror film. hahaha. The lady beside me was so scared that she was jumping from shock the whole time =\ but honestly, it wasn't even that scary.

And omgosh second realization. The evil black witch is Jean Grey in X-Men! Famke Janssen is the name.

The CG was great for the film, it being based on a fairy tale. Not "too realistic" with the blood and stuff but just good enough for a fantasy film :)

Girlfriend Boyfriend (Taiwan)

It's not often that I finish so many movies in a short time because, yknow, my attention span is really short and I get distracted too much too often.

Nevertheless, I finished this movie without pressing too much of the "pause" button! *Achievement*

Some Taiwanese movies are really good, and I got to say this is one of them. The story took us from the 1980s to 2012, depicting a group of three good friends. The film revolves around romance, the different kinds of it: forbidden love, having affairs, same-sex relationship.

I was taken aback by how daring Joseph Chang's ( 張孝全) role in this film is and how he portrayed it, even though I believe he could be more expressive. Of course, Gwei Lun Mei (桂纶镁) was not disappointing. The emotions, the thoughts and actions of the character was well played. Thumbs up!

The film is full of twists and surprises, leaving you wondering and wanting more! (Just like how it made me sit in front of my laptop for an hour and a half straight)

The Taste of Money 돈의 맛

Initially, it guides you into curiosity and a little anticipation. But subsequently I'm just like "what the hell am I watching". The plot gets boring, cliché and stupid...

And a tad too much Korenglish (Korean-English). I can barely make out what the actors are speaking. Korean-speaking people trying to speak English and vice versa.

All in all, it's a pretty meaningless film with no excitement or suspense.

Rabbit Hole

A simple story revolving around the lives of this couple who lost their young boy 8 months ago.
Yet, the emotions in there are so complex, something we cannot fully understand.
The battle with one's self... Who you are to yourself compared to when you're facing your friends and family.
They have no choice but to be strong. However, it isn't as easy as it seems.

when you lose someone dear to you, you lose yourself.
"it (the remorse) is not going to go away, but it changes.. sometimes you forget it.. for awhile. but it comes back to you.."

A very emotional and touching story. A tinge of life. :)

My Princess

Just done with "My Princess"!

I ADORE Lee Seol's (Kim Tae Hee) wardrobe. Gosh, her bedroom and wardrobe is so perfect!
That aside, story line is pretty alright. Not exactly your usual type of "princessy" love story. I'm glad the politics part did not take up a major part, but i do feel parts of it is quite redundant (or stupid). Quite a number of "issues" or events or people were touch-and-go, not much closure was given too.

Drama wasn't too predictable. Suspense was present. "Evil" people were evil enough. Lol! Not the usual two-guys-falling-for-one-girl type of drama too, even though this time round it was two guys protecting one girl.

Absolutely adorable Kim Tae Hee and Song Seung Hun. But one thing i kept asking myself is: are they suitable for such a young high-school role? The duo is undoubtedly one of the best looking in the Korean entertainment industry, but! They are already in their mid-30s! Alright i got to admit Kim Tae Hee appears to have flawless skin, however i can't help noticing her eye wrinkles. Also, a little too act cute IMO. I loved Kim Tae Hee in "Iris", I hope she sticks to such shows though.

Overall, a good 16-episodes drama worth watching. :)
