Skip Beat was based on the same-title Japanese manga. There are some scenes which made me feel that I'm reading from the manga haha! I guess I'm okay with reading manga but I don't really like when films/dramas that were adapted from manga are filmed like a manga. If I make sense... There are just lots of exaggerated scenes. Some people will find it funny but I personally find it a tad bit annoying. But that's just me~
This drama is supposedly quite promising because it's about a girl who wants to get into the showbiz to beat her most hated (once most loved) person. She's just a plain Joe yet aspires and work hard to be famous in the industry.
But... I expected more romance and struggle between Gong Xi (Chen Yi Han) and Dun He Lian (Choi Siwon) and Bu Po Shang (Lee Donghae). I understand the producers probably wants to show the difficulty and step-by-step of how Gong Xi climbed up in the industry, but I thought meanwhile they could add more "accidental" romance. I've been wanting and waiting to see the chemistry (and clashes) between these 3 people but there isn't even until episode 12... The closest we got was when Shang "challenged" Lian at the start.
Drama turned out to be quite slow paced. The mini flashback at the end of the last episode made me realize how long winded the drama actually is =\ I guess the eye candies - Donghae and Siwon made up for that? X)
P.s. do watch the Behind-the-scenes footage! :D

World War Z
OKAY so this wasn't the movie I thought I was sitting in for. Because I thought it was just the usual lame apocalypse movies. Like "2012" or "Day After Tomorrow" where you just watch people slowly die as buildings crash them or whatever.
I got a shock the first few minutes into the movie when I saw the zombies. This. was. not. what. I. asked. for. (Welcome to L4D~) Cos yknow I'm not in favour of zombie movies because I also think they're lame. But they can be quite horrific too. So sitting through this movie was more of a horror than thrilling film XD My only consolation was Brad Pitt :P I did roll my eyes several instances too, though. Because..... it's a zombie movie.
From how the movie ended, I believe we can expect a part 2. Because they have not found a permanent cure for the virus and the zombies are probably still lurking around....

消失的子弹 (The Bullet Vanishes)
Is it just me or is it typical for HK movies to be in the genre of mysteries and crime solving. Haha. That's what I observed even though I don't watch too much HK films.
The plot is not that bad. Even though I expected more during the "revelation" at the end. There are some plot holes though~
P.s. I managed to guess the answer to that IQ question of "how to remove the chopsticks in the glass bottle without touching or toppling the bottle over" in just a few seconds haha! But the answer is only revealed towards the end of the movie X)
One thing that kept my interest was the guessing. I love to (and can't help it that I do) guess what's the next thing that will happen etc. I love shows that make me think :)
I wouldn't give this movie too high praises because I think it could have been better. But still, reasonably good :)

Man of Steel
Caught this highly anticipated movie with my fam. I kinda liked the introduction because it was.... well, introduction to this Superman dude. But then it got too long until I started to question "when's the action going to start?"
Despite me waiting for some Superman action, it was quite disappointing. I didn't like it at all. Maybe it's just me. I feel there's too much CG effects and the destroying-every-building-around-you is too mainstream and boring.. Also, another question popped into my mind. Is this Superman supposed to save the world or destroy buildings (and kill people in them)? Haha..
The best thing about this movie is really just Henry Cavill himself. No one else and nothing else is good enough. And Henry Cavill (even though he's cute) isn't Ryan Gosling nor Chris Hemsworth nor Vin Diesel.
So... For "Superman" fans, I'd say you guys will probably be disappointed.
Oh, I read there's no post-credits scene too. I didn't stay through the credits to make sure though.
