Lie To Me (내게 거짓말을 해봐)
A drama series starring Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan. Finally a korean drama that doesn't bore me to death either with its draggy plot or its abundance of episodes.
Even till the end, the suspense was kept. The two veteran actors did a pretty good job in their roles. But I can't help but to feel that Yoon Eun Hye's acting hasn't improved much, or any, since "Goong".
If you're into pretense marriage and how it leads to Gong Ah Jong and Hyeon Ki Jun really falling in love, this drama could make it into your list-to-watch. Not the best but good enough

Seduction (by M.J. Rose)
This book is amazing, the best I've read in awhile. Got it off the shelves on a random library trip that wasn't intended by me. It was just there, one of the newer books with a pretty cover, and I picked it up. The moment I started reading, I couldn't stop.
It was captivating. Fact and fiction intertwined. The start of the book told tales of intrigue and mystery. Mid-book, it seemed haunting with revelation and spirits. It ended with thrill and chills, moving in and out of the past and present, finally bringing closure.
It was like living in the book. The descriptions of landscape, emotions and smell (especially) etc. brought me into another world.
And there I quote the (my new favourite) author and Carl Jung (as mentioned in the novel), "coincidences aren't coincidences at all".

Tokarev
Never was a fan of Nicholas Cage anyway. And... still same thoughts haha.
Movie worth watching? Nope.

The Frozen Ground
This movie's based on a true story of girls being raped a gun point and killed, happening for more than a decade. A detective decides to reopen the cases, of which the culprit was not found and prosecuted, after linking the past cases to the most recent one of Cindy Paulson who lived to tell the story.
Worth watching? Sure.
Pompeii (2014)
Male and female leads aren't the best in portraying the roles. Like I said, low budget movie. (I just got to know that Kit Harington, as Milo, stars in "Game of Thrones" lol.)
The ending was totally expected, to me at least. I figured 1) everyone's going to die 2) Milo and Cassia will not die miserably on their own 3) therefore they will die together 4) and in a beautiful way, to end the movie.
Despite how promising the title is, this is probably one movie you can give a miss.

The Amazing Spiderman 2: Rise of Electro
The only reason why this movie is good, and why I liked it, is because of its romance factor. (Gwen Stacy - Emma Stone ftw).
The action and action-plot is just.... bad. Trying to fit in two antagonists in movie and hastily getting rid of them is just trying to bullshit through. It's probably a prelude to the next movie but... if you're there for the action and story (apart from the romance), then you'd be disappointed. Oh and there's so much CG going on, it almost felt like I was watching a cartoon.
Thankfully, I'm more of a love-story person so I loved the love-hate relationship between Gwen and Peter and beautifully portrayed by Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. I guess knowing that the two are dating adds on to those emotions (on my part or theirs, or both). Hence.... Gwen Stacy saved the day (I really meant saved this movie)!
My verdict: never had much expectations for this series anyway. And look out for that hot (cliche) closet hideout kiss.
